Zander Labs is a German-Dutch company that turns human cognition into a new modality for AI, giving machines the understanding that behavioral data and other modalities alone can’t provide.
Despite the vast amounts and types of data that modern AI is trained on, the complexity of the real world still prevents AI from behaving the way we really want it to. Because unlike AI, we don’t only rely on patterns, examples, or rules to make decisions in this world.
We follow the instinctual reactions that occur as a result of those experiences and patterns – that feeling when “something is off,” the surprise when our expectations break, the satisfaction when things go right. We constantly experience these cognitive states, and based on that, we adjust what we do next. AI doesn’t do that…yet.
We’ve built a non-invasive EEG infrastructure that captures instinctual cognitive responses directly, and we are adding that new human dimension to the training pipeline.
By doing so, we build models that make better decisions, complete tasks faster, and behave more like humans would. Put simply: we give AI access to the cognitive feedback loop that humans use automatically.
